Pathology

Ted (Milo Ventimiglia) is a recent med school graduate with an internship at a prestigious Philadelphia hospital. A group of his fellow colleagues, being the arrogant, rude, unprofessionals that they are, dislike Ted because of his intelligence in the field. It is his intelligence that contradicts their diagnosis', damaging their immense ego's. After becoming better acquainted with this group, he discovers that they have a dark secret, a game, in which they all compete to see who can commit the perfect murder, while also competing to determine who can figure out the exact cause of death. He soon finds himself drawn into this pathological circle, and when things get too intense he decides that he wants out. He soon learns that his new friends will not take no for an answer, so he has to rely on his own wits to keep him alive and off of their sick, twisted slab.

This film has something for everyone. For the guys it has girl on girl kissing, and Alyssa Milano's hoo-hoo, for the ladies and gays it has Milo Ventimiglias luscious rump, for the gore hounds it has lots of graphic autopsy scenes, as well as an erupting "Stink pipe", and for the thrill seekers it has continuous thrills and plot twists. There were a few plot twists that disappointed me, but they were necessary for the storyline.

I was surprised to see Larry Drake, Dr.Giggles himself, in this film. Could it be mere coincidence that Larry Drake appears in yet another film about psychotically deranged doctors? Surprisingly, Alyssa Milanos role was rather limited, but at the same time played a major part in the overall story. Milo Ventimiglia has proven once again that he has what it takes to be a well respected, successful actor, something every actor dreams of.

Overall I rank this film 4 out of 5 stars, I really enjoyed seeing a modern film that didn't leave me annoyed and wishing that I had my hour and a half back. You should definitely check out this film.

  1. I've been avoiding this movie, but if Larry Drake's in it, I'll have to give it a shot.
